Our therapist, Shari Sprague, is a licensed physical therapist certified in canine rehabilitation. After graduating from the University of South Florida with a Bachelor of Arts in 1994 and receiving her Master of Science in physical therapy from Nova Southeastern University in 1998, she began her career as a human physical therapist. Her love of animals, combined with physical issues with her own elderly dog, led her to change her career focus and apply her passion towards rehabilitating canines. In 2008 Shari was certified in canine rehabilitation (CCRT) by The Canine Rehabilitation Institute. She is also a Certified Clinical Instructor, FitPaws Master Trainer, and is certified in canine kinesiology taping methods.
We follow a model similar to human healthcare with the physician establishing the need for therapy while managing any medical issues. This allows us to focus on our area of expertise: movement science, biomechanics, therapeutic modalities, hands-on treatments, and progressive exercise programs focusing on teaching the clients how to best help their pets. In this model, communication is key. And we keep in contact with our patients’ veterinarians to keep you updated with their progress and, most important, to make sure that they are following up with you should any medical issues arise.
Please do not hesitate to contact us at any time with any questions or concerns you may have.
